HOOKS , SHEILA ELKINS 63 of Powell, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 11, 2010. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend. Member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father, Chad Elkins. Survived by husband of 43 years, Ancil Hooks ; daughter, Kimberly Hooks ; son, Gregory Hooks and wife Heather; grandchildren, Haley, Autumn, and Lucas Hooks ; mother, Aline Elkins; sisters, Fauna Stooksbury, Rhonda (Eddie) Phibbs, Yvonne Mitchell, and Collette Dailey; brothers, Dawn Elkins and Barry (Lisa) Elkins; sister-in-law, Billie Jean Wolfe of Holland, Michigan; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet Thursday, December 16th at 11:15 am Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery for a graveside service at 12 noon with Rev. John Capps, Rev. Jerry Copeland and Rev. Floyd Scarbrough officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Copper Ridge Elementary School First Grade, 2502 Brushy Valley Road, Powell, TN 37849, where Sheila spent 20 years working with children. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 15th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. www.mynattfh.com
