Mary Lorene Stooksbury, 81, of Norris, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at Mariner Health Care of Norris.
Mrs. Stooksbury was a former employee of Magnet Mills in Clinton and had also worked as a retail clerk/bookkeeper at the former Norris Hardware. For many years she was a self-employed seamstress.
She was the daughter of Oscar and Etta Worthington, both now deceased, and the widow of Jonah Carl Stooksbury.
Mrs. Stooksbury was a member of United Methodist Church of Andersonville.
She is survived by two daughters, Carlene Blazek of Brea, Calif., and Judy Beach of Lawrenceville, Ga.; two grandchildren, Laura Cicerrella of San Marcos, Calif., and Susan Dunlap of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; two sisters, Maude Brown and Annette Stooksbury, both of Clinton; and her brother, Everett Worthington of Clinton.
Another sister, Gladys Graham, and two other brothers, Robert Worthington and Mills Vasco Worthington, died earlier.
Friends and family may view the body at their convenience at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at Norris Memorial Gardens, Norris. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Ken Abbott officiating.
