Lillard Lee Keeney, 90, of Clinton, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at Baptist Health Care Center in Lenoir City.
He was the son of C.J. and Elizabeth Fraker Keeney. He was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Clinton. Mr. Keeney worked at Magnet Mills in Clinton, and in later years worked full and part time at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home for approximately 35 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Lucille Stooksbury Keeney; two brothers, Hobert Keeney and Hubert Keeney; and by a sister, Blanche Vandergriff.
Mr. Keeney is survived by two daughters, June Keeney Smith and husband, John, of Pikeville, and Gale Keeney Stair and husband, Ronnie, of El Paso, Texas; his son, Dale Keeney and wife, Dottie, of Lenoir City; eight grandchildren, Steve Keeney, Derek Keeney, Crystal Hall, Jonathan Smith, Suzanna Ellis, Sherry Brown, Ryan Harvey and Dana Bennett; 13 great-grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews.
Edith Wilson of Clinton is considered a special friend.
The funeral was to be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. John Smith officiating.
Burial was to follow at Norris Memorial Garden.
