Preceded in death by father and mother, Lummy Sr. and Gertrude Massengale; husband of 47 years, William E Ghent; and brother, Rodney Massengale. She is survived by daughter, Gail Roberts and husband Lloyd of Chattanooga, TN; son, Mark Ghent of Powell, TN; and daughter, Stacy Seel and husband Tim of Newnan, GA; brothers and sisters, Lummy Massengale Jr. of Corryton, TN, Darrell Massengale of Corbin, KY, Don Massengale of Corbin, KY, Brenda Kadlec of Deland, FL, Diane Bostick of Orange City, FL, and Jeff Massengale of Evarts, KY. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Halls and to NP Nicki Thompson. The Ghent family will receive friends Monday, August 17, 2009 form 6-8 pm in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel.
