He was employed for 35 years at LTV (formerly Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company) in East Chicago, Indiana. He was preceded in death by children, Lonnie, Kathy, and Jerry Stooksbury; parents, John & Maggie Stooksbury; brothers, Rush, Roy, Robert & Harless; sisters, Bertha, Zenia, Leona, Jessie & Bernice. Survivors, Loving wife of 66 years, Mae Wallace Stooksbury; Sons, Charles V. Stooksbury & wife Doris of Andersonville, Glen Stooksbury & wife Sally of La Porte, Indiana 7 Grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; Brothers, Harley Stooksbury of Andersonville, Claude Stooksbury of London, Kentucky Several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 6-8PM at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services at 8:00PM in the chapel with Rev. Donnie Disney & Rev. Terry Slover officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 4th at 11:00AM at Red Hill Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
