Caldwell named interim president, CEO of National Bank of Tennessee
NEWPORT-The National Bank of Tennessee Board of Directors announced today that Danny R. Caldwell has been named interim president and chief executive officer of the bank.
This announcement followed the recent retirement of long-time NBT President/CEO Keith Ketterman, who will be honored during an afternoon reception this Sunday the main office of the bank.
Earlier this month, Caldwell assumed the duties. He began his banking career in 1972 at Merchants and Planter Bank in Newport, Tennessee. He joined the National Bank of Tennessee in 1992 as Senior Vice President and in 1993 he was appointed Executive Vice President of National Bank of Tennessee and NBN Corporation.
Caldwell holds an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Knoxville Business College in Knoxville, TN and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He has also completed various banking courses through the Tennessee Bankers Association. Caldwell was a member of the first class of the Leadership Cocke County Program and a former board member. He also previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Newport/Cocke County Chamber of Commerce.
Caldwell is married to Joyce (Holt) Caldwell. They have one daughter and two grandsons. Danny and Joyce make their home in Parrottsville and are active in their church work at St. Tide Baptist Church.
Caldwell said he and the employees of the National Bank of Tennessee “wish Mr. Ketterman the very best in his retirement and new endeavors. His leadership and friendship have meant a lot to all of us.”
Caldwell wants customers to know that National Bank of Tennessee is committed to providing quality banking services and that the customers are very important. In his twenty plus years at National Bank of Tennessee, he has enjoyed working with all of the customers and looks forward to continuing those relationships for the upcoming years.
