COVINGTON, ROBERT LEON (BOBBY) - age 57 of Powell passed away July 31, 2010 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was born May 9, 1953 and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Brownlow and Mary Rachel Covington; brother, James Brownlow (Jimmy) Covington; niece, Anna Lasley; and nephew, James Edward Covington. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Martha Covington of Powell; brother, LeRoy Covington of Texas; sister, Peggy Sue Welch; and special friend, Lane Hays. Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge with Rev. Wayne Watson officiating. The family will gather Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 12:45P.M. in Merrifield Family Cemetery in Bean Station, TN. for a 1:00 P.M. graveside service. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. prior to services at the funeral home. Arrangements by Smith-Reagan Funeral Home of Rutledge, Tennessee.
