JC Russell age 92 of Maryville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Colonial Hills Healthcare Center. He attended Alcoa Maryville Church of God and was a Veteran of World War II serving overseas in the United States Army. He loved to work in the garden. JC retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by: Parents, Arch & Anne Russell; Sisters, Ruby Teffeteller, Ruth Davis, and Ellen Abbott; Stepson, Jerry D. Barrett. Survivors include: Wife of 59 years, Edith Sullivan Russell; Son & Daughter-in-law, Roger & Sherry Russell of Friendsville; Daughter & Son-in-law, Norma & Howard Whitehead of Maryville; Step Daughter-in-law, Vickie Barrett of Maryville; Grandchildren, Karen Ledbetter, Warren Barrett, Tim Barrett, Roger Russell, Robin Kiser; Step Grandchild, Joshua Villars; Six Great-Grandchildren; One Great-Great-Grandchild; Special Sister-in-law, Betty Mason; Very Special Pet, Lulu. Special thanks to our friends and neighbors for all of their love and support and to the wonderful staff at Colonial Hills for their love and care.
