Cardin, age 67, of Maryville, passed away Monday evening, January 29, 2007 at the family home. He was a member and deacon at Four Mile Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Cardin; parents, Rance and Lucile Cardin; son, Matthew Cardin; sister, Brenda Cardin; brother, Bobby Cardin; and grand-daughter, Brittney Cardin. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Ruth Cardin; daughter and son-in-law, Libby and Scott Hatcher of Maryville; sons and daughters-in-law, Jon and Charlotte Cardin of Louisville, Brian and Vickie Cardin of Anchorage, Alaska, and Gary and Mary Atchley of Alcoa, and daughter, Karen S. Bowers of Maryville; grandchildren, Terra and husband, Jimmy Yates, Jeremy Hatcher, Adrianna Cardin, Jason Cardin, Mikayla Cardin, Jonathan Rutherford, Taylor Cardin, Josh and wife, Casey Atchley, Gara Atchley, Karenda Bowers, Jay Garland, great grandchildren, Cayden Hatcher, and Jeremiah Atchley; sisters and brothers in law, Judy and Art Giles and Mary and James Millsaps all of Maryville; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. James Wells officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home.
