George Teffeteller celebrates 80th birthday with special family brunch
George Teffeteller, of Maryville, celebrated his 80th birthday Nov. 28 at home with his family and with a special family breakfast brunch at Hardee's.
Mr. Teffeteller was born Nov. 28, 1929, in Blount County, to the late Homer and Vera Teffeteller. He was married to the late Jean Teffeteller.
His family includes children Roger and wife Debbie Teffeteller, Trent Teffeteller and Mary Teffeteller. He has six grandchildren.
Mr. Teffeteller was employed at ALCOA Inc.
He attends Tuckaleechee Chapel Baptist Church.

George W. Teffeteller age 83 of Maryville passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at UT Hospital. He was a member of Tuckaleechee Chapel Baptist Church. He retired from ALCOA , was a member of the 25 Year Club and the Local 309 Steel Workers Union. George was a flea market treasure hunter and a member of the Foothills Antique Tractor Club. Preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Alma Jean Teffeteller; grandson, Justin Teffeteller; brothers, Raymond, Cecil, I.G., Ed, and J.R. Teffeteller. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Roger Lee and Debbie Teffeteller and Trent Teffeteller all of Maryville; daughter, Mary Teffeteller of Maryville; grandchildren, David Teffeteller, Trenna Hamilton and husband, Joe, Nicki Dyer, Ivey Harless, and Travis Teffeteller; great grandchild, Kiley Rose; brothers, Kenneth Teffeteller and Bill Teffeteller; sister, Helen Benson; special friends, Marion Hatcher, John Lowe, and the Hardee's Bunch. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. John Lowe officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Tuckaleechee Baptist Church or Gideon's International, Blount County South Camp, PO Box 4035, Maryville, TN 37802-4035.
