Vada Pack to celebrates 90th birthday with Gatlinburg outing
Vada Pack, of Maryville, celebrated her 90th birthday March 29 with dinner in Gatlinburg, where she met her late husband, Clarence Pack.
Mrs. Pack was born March 29, 1920, in Bloomberg, Texas, to William Robert and Polly Ogle Stinnett. The family returned to Sevier County and the Smoky Mountains when she was an infant.
Her family includes daughter Judy Pack, of Maryville, sisters Gerlene Kirby and Lorene Campbell, of Maryville, and brother Wendell (Bill) Stinnett, of Pigeon Forge.
Mrs. Pack enjoys working jigsaw puzzles and watching the Lady Vols.
She is a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church.

Vada Stinnett Pack, age 90, of Maryville, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Maryville. Mrs. Pack was born March 29, 1920 in Bloomberg, Texas. The family returned to Sevier County and the Smoky Mountains when she was an infant. She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Clarence Pack; parents, William Robert & Polly Ogle Stinnett; sister, Dorothy Cogdill; brothers, Clell Stinnett and Gentry Stinnett. Survivors include daughter, Judy Pack, of Maryville; sisters, Gerlene Kirby and Lorene Campbell, both of Maryville; brother & sister-in-law, Wendell (Bill) & Anah Stinnett, of Pigeon Forge; sisters-in-law, Pauline Caylor Ledford and Rachel Pack, both of Maryville, and Macy Stinnett, of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Holder officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 5, 2010 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
