HIGGINBOTHAM, WILLIAM F., SR. - age 83, of LaFollette, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville. He was retired from State of Tennessee Department of Transportation and was a Veteran of The United States Army, having served during World War II. Preceded in death by parents, William Addison and Exie Farmer Higginbotham brother, Charles Higginbotham and sisters, Louise Hazen and Addie Jewell Daves. Survivors: wife, Veta Higginbotham of LaFollette son, William Farmer Higginbotham, Jr. of Fayetteville, GA daughters and husbands, Anna and Charles Gross of Atlanta, GA, Linda and Ron Ridenour of Clinton grandchildren, Brian and wife, Tania Wismer of Atlanta, GA, Kara Ridenour of Atlanta. GA, William Farmer Higginbotham, III of Largo, Florida, Amy Ridenour of Clinton, Andrea and Scott Russell of Clinton. The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2002 at Cross Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Bill Parrott officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday at Cross Chapel. Donations may be made to St. Mary's Residential Hospice, 7447 Andersonville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37938 or to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Cross Funeral Home.
