Pauline Caldwell Creswell – age 89. Born February 22, 1926, passed away at University of Tennessee Medical Center on July 12, 2015.
Pauline was a Knoxville native and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Caldwell (Iva Mae Jones). She grew up in Kimberlin Heights and attended Young High School. Pauline and her former husband, Bruce Creswell, founded Creswell Office Supply in 1959 and served many of Knoxville's top businesses, organizations and educational institutions. She retired in 1983. In her retirement she became an accomplished ballroom dancer, winning several national competitions. Pauline is preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Madge; sisters: Helen Reed (Ray), Dorothy Broome (Larry); brother, J.R. Caldwell (Roma Jean); and sister-in-law Sandy. She leaves behind her beloved son Joseph (Joey) Paul Creswell and daughter-in-law Janet Testerman Creswell; granddaughters: Eleanor (Elie) Lucille Creswell and Georgia (Georgie) Anderson Creswell; sister, Ernestine Reed and brothers, Eugene Caldwell (Linda) and David Caldwell along with many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 18, at 10 a.m. at Highland South Cemetery. Sub-Dean Thom Rasnick of St. John's Episcopal Cathedral will officiate. The family wants to thank the staff of Trinity Hills Senior Living Community for their love and care of Pauline over the last several years.
