Vola McGaha, age 95, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away 11th day of December, 2013. She was a charter and faithful member of Big Spring Baptist Church in Chestnut Hill. Vola loved the Lord first and her family and friends. She had a giving heart and a prayer, especially for the lost. She will be missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert McGaha; daughter, Barbara Henry; granddaughter, Terry Annette Henry; son-in-law, John Galloway; sisters, Dora McGaha, Inez Thomas, Flora Miller; and brother, Mack Davis. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Irene Galloway, Brenda Dockery (Don), and Theron Henry; grandchildren and spouses, Deborah Clark (Tim), David Galloway (Deb), Johnny Henry (Lisa), and Jill Frye (Conard); great-grandchildren, Tyler and Hollie Clark, Chelsey Arnold and Mandy Galloway, Rylee Henry, Julianna and Theron Frye; great great grandchildren Cameron and Raylie Arnold. A very special “Thank you” to Vola’s caregivers from Jefferson County Nursing Home. We will always be grateful for the loving care that you showed her. Funeral Service 7:00 pm Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Manes Funeral Home West Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Colbert and John Clark officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00pm-7:00pm prior to the service. Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Proffitt/Big Spring Cemetery.
