John Joseph McGinley age 85 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Corp. He was a retired Flight Engineer with American Airlines and a commercial pilot. John was a compassionate man of unwavering faith, and an endearing mentor to many. He was preceded in death by: Wife, Bobbie Sue McGinley; Parents, John & Mary McGinley; Brothers, Frank & Edward. This loving father is survived and will be dearly missed by: Children, Suzanne, Michelle, John, Danielle, and Patrick; Nine Beloved Grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jessica, Cathryn, Cristiona, Lauren, Teddy, Hannah, Johnny, and Calleigh; Sister, Kathleen Patin; many nieces & nephews. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 5, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Honor Air Knoxville, 7536 Taggert Lane, Knoxville, TN 37938-8996.
