A loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed. Mr. McKinney was a Baptist Minister for 50 years serving several local churches. He was preceded in death by his two brothers. He leaves his wife of 53 years, Nellie McKinney; daughters, Peggy (Jeff) Sutton of Newport, Janice (Randy) Turner of Bybee, and Jean (Jimmy) Garber of Rogersville; grandchildren, Donald (Leslie) Sutton, Danny Wayne Turner, Melissa (Larry) Barnes, Tonya (Travis) Booher, Sabrina Worley, Andy (Amanda) Turner, and Phillip Turner; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Milachi Booher, Cherrie and Dolan Turner, and Sawyer Barnes; sister, Ruby Marklen. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2008 from the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Miller and Rev. Justin Winstead officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. [S147] Find a Grave, (Memorial: 48715285).
