COOPER , JAMES P. - age 84, of Clinton, formerly of Knoxville and LaFollette, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at Windwood Health Care Center. He was a Veteran of The United States Army serving 4 years in World War II and 31 months overseas. His faith was in God. Preceded in death by parents, Paris and Maggie Grant Cooper brothers, Kermit, Clifford and Roscoe Cooper sisters, Phyllis Landrum and Ruth Cook. Survivors: wife of 571/2 years, Beulah Cooper of Clinton daughters, Linda Mize and husband, Larry, of Chattanooga, Cynthia Chudley of Knoxville, Nancy Simpson and husband, Steven, of Manchester and Carol Evans and husband, Jeff, of Maryville brothers, Vaughn Cooper and wife, Ann, of Knoxville, Raymond Cooper and wife, Peggy, of LaFollette, Billy Cooper and wife, Emma, of LaFollette, Donnie Cooper and wife, Bernice, of LaFollette sister, Delsie Dagley and husband, Buford, of LaFollette 12 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews. Special Thanks from his family to all who gave loving care to James in the past months. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2003 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow in the chapel, Rev. Darrell Medford officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery following the funeral service. The family has requested that memorials be made to Lottie Moon Christmas offering for foreign ministries. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
