Joseph Edward 'Eddie' Dunn, age 46 of Hartford, died Friday June 30, 2006 after an extended illness.
Eddie was the son of Marian Hall Dunn and the late James J. 'Jim' Dunn of Newport.
Eddie was educated in Cocke County, and was a veteran of the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division.
Eddie is survived by his mother, Marian Hall Dunn of Newport; sisters and brothers, Patsy and Wayne Giles of Boaz, Alabama, Loura and Jason Asato of Redondo Beach, California, Linda and Dealous Fine of Newport, Jimmy and Karene Dunn of Newport, Johnny and Bonnie Dunn of Newport, Susan Noonan of Deltona, Florida, Ida Mason of Hartford, Sandra 'Sam' Dunn and Donnie Ball of Newport, Roger Paul Dunn of Newport, and Danny and Kim Dunn of White Pine; special friend, Mary Kay Burns of Newport. He is also survived by a loving family of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Eddie was a long time employee of Quaker Oats and Con-Agra. He will be missed by many friends and co-workers.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday July 2, 2006 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Steve Downard officiating, with burial in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
