Cecil Green, 81, of Easley, South Carolina, a former Newport resident, passed away Friday evening, November 6, at the Baptist Medical Center of Easley, South Carolina. Cecil was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Green, and parents, Lawson and Eva Green. Survivors include his daughter, Imogene, and her husband, Boyce Revis of Easley, South Carolina; granddaughter, Teresa, and her husband, Ben Ramey, of Pickens, South Carolina; sister, Myrtle, and her husband, Benny Sherwood of Dandridge; several nieces and nephews; also a special niece, Janice, and her husband, Tommy Ramsey, of Bybee. Funeral service was held Sunday, November 8, at 1 p.m., at Brown Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gene Gorrell officiating. Interment was in the Huff Cemetery, Del Rio.
