U.S. Veteran Paul Bryant, age 87, of Brunswick, Ohio, formerly of Newport, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 in Ohio. Mr. Bryant was a WWII veteran having served in the U S Navy for 3 ½ years. He loved baseball and was an avid Cleveland Indian's fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel M. Bryant; son, Ralph Paul Bryant, Jr.; parents, Turner and Louise Bryant; and two brothers, Kenneth Bryant and Turner Bryant, Jr. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Dallas Powell of Brunswick, Ohio; brother, Stanley Bryant of KY; sisters, Ella Dunn of Newport, Laverne Riner of Morristown and Euvella Bailey of Ohio; grandchildren, Lisa Watson, Kim Andrews and Scott Powell; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Saturday, June 16, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 17, 2012 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm Saturday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
