Hazel Mathis Bryant, 71, of Strongsville, Ohio, formerly of Newport, passed away Wednesday, October 28, in Strongsville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milas and Isabelle McGaha Mathis; sister, Nola Woods; and brothers, Orville, Cleve, Charles, and Albert Mathis.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Bryant, of Strongsville, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Paul Jr. and Judy Bryant of Paynesville, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Dallas Powell of Strongsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Lisa, and husband, Bob Watson of Ohio, Kim and husband, John Andrews, of Ohio, and Scott Powell of Ohio; great-grandchildren, Eric and Bryan Watson and Dana Nichole Marie Andrews; sister, Sarah DiCarlo of Oak Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was 2 p.m. Sunday at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Prince officiating. Interment was in Union Cemetery.
The family received friends 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Manes Funeral Home was in charge.
