Randall was preceded in death by his father, Charles Mathis; mother, Allene Mathis; and grandparents, Milas and Isabel Mathis and Homer and Lizzie Laws, all of Newport. He is survived by his son, Randall Joe Mack Mathis of Newport; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Lucas Coggins of Parrottsville; brother, Jack Mathis of Knoxville; brother and sister-in-law, Perry and Lisa Mathis of Newport; ex-wife, Marcy Mathis; special niece, Lindsey Saylor of Newport; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends, Brooke, Alexis and Victoria, all of Newport. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. Costner-Maloy Funeral Home is in charge.
