SURGENOR, KENNETH R., SR. age 69 of Knoxville, passed away February 12, 2007 at his residence. Former owner of Ken's Garage, he is preceded in death by his parents, Alexander Richmond and Retta Barker Surgenor, and a brother, Clarence Emory Surgenor. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Loretta Starkey Surgenor; children, Kenneth R. Surgenor, Jr. and his wife Angie, Michael David Surgenor, and Melissa Emma Connatser; brothers and sister-in-law, Rudy Surgenor, Bill Surgenor, Manual and Peggy Surgenor; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Jessie Welch, Josephine and Jack Welch, Susie and John Nicely, and Billie Jean McKaig; grandchildren, John Miles Connatser, Derek Spenser Connatser, Kenneth Richmond Surgenor III, and Martha Reilly Surgenor. The family will receive friends Friday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
