(September 12, 1930 - March 1, 2016) Lester “Leck” Stuart, age 85, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Fred and Polly Stuart; son, Willie Stuart; and fifteen brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Joann Stuart of Newport; sons, Burnett (Teressia) Stuart and James Stuart all of Newport; daughters, Ellen (Daryl) Crum of Newport and Cheryl Gibson of Cosby; sister, Daisy Allen of Dandridge; grandchildren, Kim Gibson, Rodney (Yvonne) Stuart, Cindy Stuart, Brittnye Crum, and Brad Crum; great-great grandchildren, Macy Gudger, Aubrey Stuart, Cooper Stuart, and Callie Presnell; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm on Friday, March 4, 2016 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Zane Stuart and Rev. Adam Sanders officiating. Burial be at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 5, 2016 in the McMillian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
