Everett Shultz, 81, of Beaufort, formerly of Spartanburg, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2008, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Born March 20, 1927, in Cosby, TN, he was the son of the late Isaac Bradley and Minnie Lunsford Shultz and the husband of the late June Clabo Shultz. A graduate of Wofford College, he was a retired Plant Manager with Whitney Yarn Mill, a division of Spartan Mills. He was a member of Green Street Baptist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and a Mason.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet S. Thompson and her husband Terry of Beaufort; two granddaughters, Kasey Smith of Columbia, and Beth Ogle of Spartanburg; a grandson, Chris Schultz of Inman; two sisters, Erma McAllister of Newport, TN, and Naomi Lott of Henderson, TN; and a brother, Boyd Shultz of Seymour, TN. He was predeceased by a son, Don Schultz; and two brothers, Clyde and Julian Shultz.
Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2008, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Thomas Moore. Eulogist will be Mr. Eddie Whitaker. Burial with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
