Dolores W. Morefield, age 70, died Saturday, December 06, 2008, in Holston Valley Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on November 1, 2008.
She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Va. and a member of Glade Spring Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late T. R. and Ina Wright. She was a retired Purchasing Agent with the State Hospital in Marion, Va. She enjoyed craft shows, antiques, cooking, and loved cats. She had a great sense of humor and a great heart and was a very loving wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John C. Morefield; a son, Randy Morefield and wife, Alice of Chapin, SC; a daughter, Sandra M. Parker and husband, Randy of Bristol, Va. and special friends, Kenneth and Nancy Miller of Chilhowie, Va.
The funeral service will be conducted Monday, December 8, 2008, at 3:00 P.M. in the Glade Spring Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service at the church. A private family burial will be Tuesday in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff of the I.C.U. unit at Holston Valley Medical Center for their loving care over these last few weeks.
