WILKERSON, GERALDINE MURIEL - age 67, of Powell, and of late the Mariner Health Care of Norris, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center, at 3:05 a.m. She peacefully went to be with Jesus, whom she has loved since early childhood. She was born February 8, 1934, a precious daughter and sister. Preceded in death by parents, Edgar L. and Pearl Lewis Wilkerson; brother, Malcolm E. Wilkerson and nephew, Gerald W. Wilkerson. Geraldine was a longtime client of Sertoma Center and a member of the Special Ed Sunday School Class of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church for many years. Geraldine dearly loved her family and home, and her devoted friends who were so dear to her. She especially loved and appreciated her many pets and cattle, even some wild animals and really all of Gods Creation. She was such an integral part of her family, the effects of her loss cannot be expressed or measured. "To know her was to love her." Survivors: sisters, Jeanette Wilkerson of Powell, Kathleen Cortner of Tullahoma; sister and brother-in-law, Lucile and Floyd Livingston of Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Marybelle Wilkerson, and Glenn and Thelma Wilkerson of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 7:30 p.m. Monday, Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Rev. Kent Williams officiating. Family and friends will meet at the main entrance to Greenwood Cemetery 1:45 p.m. Tuesday for interment at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Monday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
