Reba S. Myers, 84, of 4694 Poplar Springs Road, Greeneville, died Wednesday, September 8, at Takoma Adventist Hospital.
She was a housewife and retired from White Store.
She was a member of O&S Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of the Caney Branch Volunteer Fire Department, and the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by parents, Claude and Emma Ottinger Smith; husband, Lester Myers; daughter, Louise Smelcer; and brother, Bruce Smith.
Survivors: one daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Jack Smith of Morristown; three grandchildren, Mark Smelcer and wife, Katie, of Greeneville, David Smith and wife, Teresa, of Morristown, and Sandy Gilbert and husband, Gary, of Morristown; three great-grandchildren, Megan, Bradley and Tyler Gilbert; one sister and brother-in-law, Ima Justis and husband, Bill, of Bulls Gap; one son-in-law, Bobby Dale Smelcer of Greeneville; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Myers of Greeneville and Emma Dean Hawk of Parrottsville; and special friends, Johnny and Jo Ann Tweed and Fredna Myers, all of Greeneville, Ray and Margaret Blazer, and everyone on Caney Branch.
The funeral will be 8 p.m. Thursday, September 9, at Kiser Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Brewer and Rev. Sam Smith officiating. Interment will be in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens Friday at 1 p.m. graveside.
The body is at Kiser Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
The family and friends will meet Friday at 12:15 p.m. at Kiser Funeral Home to proceed to GreeneLawn for the committal.
