Roy Clennon Messer, 53, of Hartford, passed away March 3, 2003, at his home. He was a member of Grassy Fork Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Rollins and Geneva Messer, and brothers-in-law, Kyle Rollins and Elbert Ottinger. He is survived by his wife, Willie Kate Messer, of Hartford; sons: Andy C. Messer, Bobby Joe Messer, Roy Lawson Messer, all of Hartford; sister, Rachael Collins, of Del Rio; nephew, Scottie Rollins and wife, Shawnda, of Cosby; Melissa Rollins, of Del Rio; great-nephews, Destiny Rollins, Colten Rollins, of Cosby; many special friends. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2003, at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wilson Messer officiating. Interment will be in the Harned Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Manes Funeral Home. Manes Funeral Home is in charge.
