James Allen (Shady) Lane, 44, passed away Wednesday, July 1, at Cocke County Baptist Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Landon Lane and Myrtle Lane; sisters, Mary Ann Holloway, Marie Thomas, Bertha Phillips; brother, Jay Lane; father-in-law, Vaughn Rollins and brother-in-law, Dale Rollins.
Survivors include wife, Sharon Rollins Lane, of Newport; children, Tracy René Lane and Mark Shannon Lane, both of Newport; sisters and brothers-in-law Brenda and Fred Jenkins, Lou and Bill Ottinger, all of White Pine, Polly and John Shelton, Wanda and Ronnie Carson, Betty and Bill Suggs, and Nancy Coakley, all of Newport; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Joan Lane, of Dandridge, Rick and Mitzi Lane, of Parrottsville, Paul and Betty Lane, of Parrottsville, and Roger Lane, of Newport; mother-in-law, Laura Rollins, Newport; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Harold and Mary Rollins, of Newport, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jay Mack and Rev. Bill Murr officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. Brown Funeral Home.
