Harriet Lorenia Fisher Duckett, 74, of 17 Shelter Cove Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at Memorial Mission Hospital.
A native of Madison County, she was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She attended All Christian Holiness Church in Canton, was a member of the V.F.W. Post #891 Ladies Auxiliary and was a volunteer for Land-of-Sky Regional Council for the Senior Companion Program.
She was a daughter of the late Willie Alfred and Dora Mae Kent Fisher and the wife of the Late Davis William Duckett and Hillard M. DeBruhl. She was also preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters Carl, Harl, Locke, Posey, Carroll, Thursa and Lillie.
Surviving are her sons, Derryl DeBruhl and companion, Linda Melton, of Asheville, Ronnie DeBruhl and Fiance', Leanna Surrett, of Clyde and Larry DeBruhl and wife, Debbie, of Asheville; grandchildren, Katrina, Kashka, Travis, Tracey, Dustin, Christie and Amber; great grandchildren, Angela and Natalie; step grandchildren, Amanda and Autumn; brother, Oscar Fisher of Knoxville, Tenn.; sisters, Willie Mae Trudeau and Rita Collins-Smith, both of Knoxville, Tenn. and Eula Prince of Canton; and special friend, Carolyn Surrett, of Asheville.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Richard Clubb and Hassie Lundy officiating.
Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of memory.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
