(September 19, 1969 - April 11, 2009) Sherman Lloyd Mooneyham, age 39, of Grassy Fork, passed away, Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Vanderbilt Medical Center after a prolonged illness. Sherman was an avid bowler and achieved the milestone of bowling a perfect 300 game and he leaves behind a large number of bowling companions. Sherman was preceded in death by his father, Claude K. Mooneyham; brothers, Floyd G. Monneyham, Edd D. Mooneyham and Hugh L. Mooneyham; and sister, Vera L. Mooneyham. Sherman is survived by his mother, Joann Mooneyham, Grassy Fork; son, Josh E. Mooneyham, Grassy Fork; brothers, Charles K. Mooneyham, Grassy Fork, and Johnnie R. Mooneyham, Del Rio; nieces, Brandi K (Josh) Pratt, Floyd, VA; nephews, John C. Mooneyham and Michael R. Mooneyham, Del Rio; great nephew, Coen J. Pratt, Floyd, VA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, who loved him very much. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Grassy Fork with Rev. Randall Freeman and Rev. Fred Gregg officiating. Burial will follow in Clark Family Cemetery, Grassy Fork. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Manes Funeral Home. [S147] Find a Grave, (Memorial: 91145589).
