He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Barnes Turner; son, Ronnie Turner; parents, Arkie and Garfield Turner; brothers, Norman, Heman, Jack and Henry Turner; sister, Hattie Parris; and son-in-law, Jimmy Dennis. He is survived by his children, Steve Turner of Newport, Terry Turner of Greeneville, Ricky Turner and wife Barbara of Cosby, Sherry Murray and husband Rick of Newport, Faye Jones and husband Roy of Durham, NC, daughter-in-law, Lorene Turner of Greeneville; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Lawrence Beddingfield, of Henderson, NC; grandchildren, Sam Turner, Jerrika Turner, Brandon Patterson and Dustin Murray, Cody Turner, Casey Turner and Jennifer Banks, Ryne Jones, Jessica Jones, Cassie Turner, Jessie Turner, Ashley Dunn and husband Zach, and Tonya Forrester; great grandchildren, Kylie Forester, Brylie Forrester, Cameron Dunn, Ethan Dun, Rylie Banks, Wyatt Banks and Christian Turner; also other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, May 26, 2011 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Dallas Shults and Rev. Leon Large officiating. Burial will follow in Turner Family Cemetery in Cosby. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Thursday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
