CARROLL, AMY HUFFAKER - age 30 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her family at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2006 at Fort Sanders Parkwest Medical Center. Amy was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and employed by Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation. Amy graduated from Belmont University in Nashville. She attended U. T. Knoxville and played softball with the U.T. club team before it became a recognized SEC sport for U.T. She loved the Vols and was an avid Steelers fan. Preceded in death by infant sister, Kelly Elizabeth Huffaker grandfathers, S. F. Huffaker and Paul Edmondson. She is survived by her loving husband, David Carroll mother, Libby Edmondson Huffaker father, Gary Huffaker sister, Shelly Huffaker Higgins and nephew, Jacob Higgins all of Knoxville her grandmothers, Juanita (Eadie) Huffaker and Mae (Nannie) Reynolds of Knoxville uncle and aunt, Phil and Susan Edmondson, their children and their spouses mother-in-law and father-in-law, Michael and Carol Carroll of Amesbury, England life-long friend, Lee Ann Russell Grubbs and devoted four-legged child, Ellie. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 a.m. Friday, February 3 at Stevens Mortuary to go in procession to Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service and interment.
