ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Selma Graybeal Blankenship, 78, formerly of Rutherford County, died Sunday, May 9, 1999, at St. Augustine Health Care.
Born in Rutherford County, on July 15, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Belvin Arlie and Nola Sluder Graybeal. She was a homemaker and a member of Glennwood United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Ray Blankenship of St. Augustine, Fla. three sons, James Blankenship of Ferndino Beach, Fla., Jerry Blankenship of Monroe, Va., and John Blankenship of St. Augustine, Fla. a sister, Gertrude Baynard of Union Mills two brothers, Danie Graybeal of Marion and Cecil Graybeal of Greenville, S.C. four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Crowe's Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Round Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Crowe's Mortuary.
