PARSLEY, CHARLES EDWARD (NEPO) died Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at St. Mary's Medical Center following an extended illness at the age of 75. Mr. Parsley attended the Dutch Valley Church of God, was a member of Whittle Springs Golfing Association, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War. Preceded in death by his mother, Theo G. Haynes; stepfather, Tom Haynes; father, Leroy Parsley; and brother, Howard Parsley. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Violet Marsh Parsley; sons and daughter-in-laws, Bill and Marilyn Evans of Cleveland and Tony and Judy Evans of Knoxville; grandchildren, Tracie (Scott) Sutton, Lance Evans, Valerie (Scott) McCall, Melissa (Eric) Godbehere, and Amanda Evans; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the main entrance to Greenwood Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service with Pastor Jack Dean officiating. Pallbearers: Tom Hunley, Tim Hunley, Charles Simpson, Glen Allen, Mickey Campbell, Terry Cooper and Jerry Daniels. Honorary Pallbearer: Mike Rader.
