Festus Ryan Talley, age 33 of Newport passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville. He was a member of the Newport First Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Festus Talley, Sr.; grandparents, Jake and Rosette O’Neil; and special cousin, Donnie Holt. He is survived by his parents Festus and Christine Talley of Newport; sister, Katrina Talley (William) Eck of Newport; grandmother, Viola Talley of Morristown; nephew and niece Gage and Keira Eck of Newport; aunts, Marilyn (Joe) Kesterson of Greeneville and Sharon (Dwight) Wolfe of Treadway; many cousins, other family, friends and his Church family. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Monday, December 2, 2013 with Rev. Jeff Davis and Chaplin Colonel Eddie Young MCC officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in the Stokely’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday prior to funeral services.
