Walter Lee O'Neil , 64, of Bybee, beloved husband of Mollie (Lovell) O'Neil , entered into eternal rest suddenly Tuesday morning. He was employed by Eastern Plating, Inc. and would have retired next year. Besides his wife, he is survived by his parents, Jake and Rosetta O'Neil of Newport; children, Kathy Whaley and Pat O'Neil of Newport; sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine and Festus Talley of Newport and Mary and Royce Lance of Leicester, North Carolina; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Nancy and John Speake; and a host of friends. Pallbearers are Cleve Benson, Jamie Valentine, Robert Hall, Phillip Ottinger, Russell Rathbone, and David Nelson. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Mullaney, Kevin Mullaney, Tom McNeely, Jim Holt, Rob Nabors, Bobby Conard, Todd Wilder, William Benson, Robert Arms, Robert Whitted, Bobby Fisher, and Tom Gibson. Walter will be ready for viewing Friday, November 19, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Manes Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Junior Loveday and Rev. Dale Hayes officiating. Graveside military service with Lance Corporal Charles Roberts D.A.V.
