(September 16, 1941 - January 17, 2011) John Lawrence Martin, age 69, of Louisville, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at U.T. Medical Center. He was a member of RIO East Church. He was a Mason and member of the Clarkston Lodge in Georgia. He was an avid race fan and enjoyed riding motorcycles and deer hunting. Preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Lee Ogle Martin; sister, Kay Dockery; and son, Randy Martin. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Donna Sue Martin; sons and daughter in law, David and Carmen Martin of Kingston; Scott Martin of Maryville; Clifford Martin, and Craig Martin both of Florida; daughters and son in law, Tina and Bruce Moss of Michigan; and Shawna Dilbeck of Maryville; grandchildren, Terri Hinkle, Susan Martin, Tiffany Goetz, Miranda Moss, Little Johnny Martin, and Heather Martin; 6 great grandchildren; father, James Lewis Martin of Maryville; sisters, Nancy Steadman, and Phyllis Wilkins both of Maryville; brothers, Gary and wife, Billie Sue Martin of Sevierville, and Jimmy and wife, Neva Martin of Maryville; and lots of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011 at RIO East Church, 1412 E. Broadway Ave., Maryville TN, Rev. Dale Buchanan officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:00 a.m. Friday morning at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the graveside service and entombment.
