Rhoda “Lucille” Holt Fowler 91 of Bybee passed away Saturday, May 09, 2009 at Morristown-Hamblen Health Care following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph “Joe” David Fowler; parents Nathanial and Francis Evelyn “Elvie” Beckner Holt; and 8 brothers and 3 sisters, Jake Holt, Jess Holt, Cliff Holt, Thead Holt, Bennit Holt, Dalmer Holt, Tadd Holt, Coy Holt, (who died in infancy), Belvie Holt Legg, Susie Holt, Dorthy Holt, and one great-grandson Anthony Jacob Fowler.
She is survived by 12 children; Evelyn Fowler Brockwell, Don Fowler and wife Nadine, Loretta Hawkins and husband Clifford, Robert Fowler and wife Sarah, Albert Fowler, Allen Fowler and wife and Sandra, Glen Fowler and wife Diann, Woneta Hodge and husband John, Joe Jr. Fowler and wife Connie, Calvin Fowler and wife Joan, Deanna Duffey and husband Brian, and Rita Kay Rice.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 from 5:00 -9:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2.00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church, Bybee, with Rev. Jamie Fowler, David Fowler and Rev. Dwight Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
