(November 11, 1942 - May 3, 2007) Billy B. (Bill) Fowler, Sr., age 64, of Hot Springs, NC, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died on May 3, 2007. Billy died peacefully at Mission Hospitals, after a long battle with cancer and was surrounded by family and close friends.Billy was born in November 11, 1942 in Newport, Tennessee. Billy grew up in McAdenville, NC, was a faithful and devoted member of the Tennelina Church of God, of Hot Springs. Billy also enjoyed spending time collecting coins, fishing, playing his guitar, and being with his family. Billy was preceded in death by his mother and father, Inez and J.W. Fowler; and sister, Brenda Bugg. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Peggy Irene Fowler, sons, Billy B. Fowler, Jr., and wife Andrea of Bridgeton, NJ, Timothy W. Fowler, and wife Karen of Hot Springs, NC; daughter, Tina M. Fowler and husband Dwayne of Marshall, NC; brother, Bobby Fowler and wife Betty of Newport, TN; sisters, Joyce Edwards , of Gastonia, NC; Barbara Godfrey and husband Leonard of Bridgeton, NJ; Shirley Moorefield of Newport; eight, grandchildren, and many other dear friends and family members. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, May 7, 2007 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Bobby Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Burgess Cemetery.
