She was preceded in death by parents, Walker and Gussie Lee Johnson; brother, Charles Johnson; sisters, Sara Lou Pryor and Ruby Wetzler. Survivors include: husband, William T. Cate; son, Stephen L. Cate of Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas W. and Edith Cate and John W. and Loretta Cate, all of Maryville; 5 grandchildren, Jeff Cate of Franklin, TN, Cathy Wright of Knoxville, TN, Mark Cate of Maryville, TN, Wes Cate of Franklin, TN and Lori Cate of Maryville, TN; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Atchley of Maryville. Funeral service will be at 3:00 Saturday, April 3, 1999 in The Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating. Interment will follow the service in Grandview Cemetery.
