She was of the Baptist faith and was employed by Food City in the Floral Department. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fleet Hatley and Carolyn Northern, Robert and Zora Owens. She is survived by her parents, Jimmy and Sheila Owens, of Newport; fiancé, Brandon Welch, of Newport; special friend, Julie Shropshire, of Newport; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Strange and the Rev. Terry Ottinger officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday prior to the service. Manes Funeral Home is in charge.
