(Sam) Elmore, Jr., age 70, of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away 1:15 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center following a short illness. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was retired from American Enka / Liberty Fibers with 39 years of service. He is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years; Martha Sue Elmore; and parents, Frank and Beulah Elmore. He is survived by sons, Jason Elmore of Strawberry Plains, TN, and Mitchell and wife Lisa Elmore of Corryton, TN; daughter, Ginger (Susie) Elmore and fiance`, Doug Thompson of New Market, TN; grandson, Andrew Elmore; granddaughter, Whitney Elmore; sisters, Margaret Keirsey and Jundia Keirsey; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Services will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arthur Pedigo officiating. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Family and friends will gather 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Eastview Memorial Gardens for a 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
