She had worked as a looper at Magnet Hosiery Mills in Clinton before plant closing. Preceded in death by parents Carson & Clara Cox Foster brother, Sherwood & Seberan Foster sister, Margaret York. Shirley was born February 9, 1937 in Anderson County. Survivors: Husband, Floyd Cox of Clinton Sister, Evonne Lay & husband, Fletcher of Clinton several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral service following the visitation at 8:00 pm, in the chapel. Interment will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at Taylors Chapel Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge.
