TURPIN, SHARON ARCHER - age 59, of Knoxville, passed away at 12:05 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Physicians Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Sharon was born on August 30, 1953 in Knoxville and was a 1972 graduate of Powell High School. She was a member of Trinity Chapel and worked as a caregiver to the elderly for many years. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy in life. Next to them, she intensely loved her dogs, Angel and Lucky. She is preceded in death by her father, Odra R. Archer. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Walter R. Walsh of Knoxville; daughter, Lydia Turpin of Knoxville; grandchildren, Brooks, Brady and Macey Walsh all of Knoxville; mother, Hilda Archer of Knoxville; brother, Dwayne Archer of Knoxville; sisters, Darlene Bolding and Rhonda Ward both of Knoxville; nieces and nephews, Whitney Bolding, Cassie Griffin, Brandon Bolding, Hailey and Blake Ward, Madi and Riley Archer. A service in celebration of Sharon's life will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2013 at Trinity Chapel, located at 5830 Haynes-Sterchi Road in Knoxville, officiated by Reverend Neil Silverberg. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Chapel, 5830 Haynes-Sterchi Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37912. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Online condolences may be extended at www.rosemortuary.com.
