Hoyle Edward Effler, age 80, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2005, at Maryville Healthcare Center. He retired from ALCOA. Preceded in death by wife, Juanita Allen Effler; parents, Jerry ''Barefoot Jerry'' and Della Ledbetter Effler; brothers, Boyd Effler, Wade Effler, Clark Effler, Dewey Effler and Claude Effler. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Becky Effler of Nashville, Ernest and Kay Effler of Smyrna; daughters, Betty Law of Rockford, Patricia Goodson and husband Don, Audrey Roy, Teresa Suttles, all of Maryville; fifteen grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Bart Effler of Indiana; sister, Viola Lequire of Maryville; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to the loving staff of Maryville Healthcare Center. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2005, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Dr. John Franklin officiating, with interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
