U.S. Veteran Tyler, Raymond A. “Hogman” age 90 of Maryville passed away, Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Colonial Hills Transitional Care Center. He was born April 9, 1918. A member of Maryville Church of Christ, retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company with 40 years, he was also a member of the 25 year club. Veteran of World War II in the United States Navy, he was a avid hunter, fisherman and farmer. Preceded in death by his parents, Jasper Newton and Tip Tyler; brothers and sisters, G.B., Marcus, Washington, Theodore, Newton, Nell and Lilly. Survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Lucille Estelle Tyler; sons and daughters in law, William R. and Jo of Alabama, Johnnie L. and Jeannie of Loudon; son, Bob Tyler of Maryville; sons and daughters in law, R.L. and Nancy of Maryville, J.N. and Gail of Texas, Preston and Cindy of Maryville, Sam and Marie of Maryville; daughters and son in law, Barbara and Dave Boring of Maryville, Christy Tyler and special friend Jack of Friendsville, Joyce Lowe of Maryville; many extra special grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends; sister and brother in law, Eula and Rev. John Davis of Maryville. Funeral service 8:00 PM Friday, March 27, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. John F. Davis officiating. Interment service 11:00 AM Saturday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.www.millerfuneralhome.org
