He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Juanita Holt Gregg; parents, Carter and Mary Gregg; brothers, Beecher Gregg, Charles Jonah Gregg, Frank Gregg, Ted Gregg, and Turner Gregg; and sister, Ella Mae Krager. He is survived by his wife, Margrette Gregg, of Newport; sons and daughters-in-law, Hugh and Ella Mae Gregg, of Newport, Luther Gregg Jr. and Nadean, of Temple, Texas, Burnette and Sherry Gregg, of Newport, and Steve and Vickie Gregg, of Newport; sons, Tim Wayne Gregg and Eric S. Turner, both of Newport; daughters, Betty Pritchett, of Newport and Carolyn “Susie” Gregg, of Newport; daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille and Gary Valentine, of Cosby, Darlene and Homer Wise, of Bybee, Hazel and Lamon Templin, of Dandridge, and Bobbie Lynn and Larry Rimmer, of Dandridge; brother, Richard Gregg, of Parrottsville; sister, Nannie Bea Sane, of Parrottsville; 32 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and very special friend, Beth Price, of Newport.
