PLEMONS, WILLIAM HARRISON "Bill"- age 82, born June 15, 1926 in Sevier County, TN. and resided at Open Arms Care in Knoxville. Bill went peacefully to heaven on Sunday, March 8, 2009. He was loved by many people and was known for an unwavering belief in his independence. He will always be remembered for his love of plaid shirts, cokes, honey buns, walking up and down Ball Camp Hill and smoking his pipe. He is preceded in death by parents, Stephen Collis Plemons and Texas Jane Rayfield Plemons; brothers, Marshall, Roy, Elmer and Amos Plemons; also preceded by sisters Mary Magoline "Maggie" Plemons Kear, Azalee, Pearl, Estelee and Rosa Bell Plemons Poline. Survived by: nephews, Ray and Betty Kear, Rev. J.H. and Bertha Kear, Ralph and Jean Kear; cousin, Imogene Rayfield Cox and a host of other family and friends at Open Arms Care. Interment: New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Oak Ridge 2 p.m. Tuesday. Arrangements by Weaver's Funeral Home.
